Myra Wisotzky

Myra got hooked on diving way back in 1988 in the chilly waters off the coast of New England.  She has several thousand dives under her belt in locations as diverse as the North Atlantic and Pacific, murky freshwater quarries, lakes and rivers, and numerous exotic tropical locations across the globe. Her professional dive career has included being a divemaster, instructor and underwater videographer. One of her favorite jobs was working at the Georgia Aquarium where she was able to apply all these skills while diving with whale sharks, manta rays, hammerhead sharks — and ensuring that scuba guests were safe, informed and having loads of fun.

Since moving to the Seattle area in 2012, Myra has been as happy as a clam at high tide to be an active part of the vibrant Puget Sound dive community – where sharing diving experiences with others continues to bring joy to her life. She took the plunge with GUE in 2017 with Fundamentals and has since expanded her abilities as an individual diver and supportive team member with Photogrammetry, DPV Diver 1, and Technical Diver 1. Underwater photography is one of her passions, as well as simply slowly doodling around with team members looking for critters. Myra appreciates being able to share and support the ongoing life enrichment (and huge amount of fun) that diving offers with others as they develop and expand their diving skills and experience.
